Student Teachers / Interns / Observers
We are excited to be a part of your journey toward becoming a professional educator. Leander ISD partners with both universities and alternative certification programs to place student teachers, interns and classroom observers.
Requirements for Student Teaching in LISD
- Complete online application: Non-Paid University/ACP Student Teachers
- Submit application no later than:
- first week of December for Spring Placement
- first week of June for Fall Placement
- Ensure University/ACP program submits a request for your placement to [email protected].
All student teacher placement information will be sent to your University/ACP program. The application provides you an opportunity to list grade level/subject/campus preferences. We will make every effort to honor those requests; however, placements will be made based on availability. We ask that you refrain from contacting campuses regarding placements. All questions should be directed to the HR department.
Requirements for Intern/Fieldwork Placements
- Complete online application: Non-Paid University/ACP Interns
- Submit application no later than:
- first week of September for Fall Placement
- first week of February for Spring Placement
- Ensure University/ACP program submits a request for your placement to [email protected].
Requirements for Classroom Observer Placements
- Complete online application: Non-Paid University/ACP Observers
- Submit application no later than:
- first week of September for Fall Placement
- first week of February for Spring Placement
- Ensure University/ACP program submits a request for your placement to [email protected].
All Intern/Fieldwork/Classroom Observer placements will be made based on availability. You will be notified as soon as final placement has been secured. We ask that you refrain from contacting campuses regarding placements. All questions should be directed to the HR department.
