Construction: Raider Way

While this project impacts the day-to-day of LISD campuses – specifically Rouse High School and Wiley Middle School – this is overseen by the City of Leander. For additional information from the city, please visit the city’s project page.

Project Scope

Raider Way and E. Woodview Drive will be widened to a three-lane road with curb, gutter, drainage, street light, sidewalk, crosswalk, and bicycle lane improvements. The project extends on Raider Way from Crystal Falls Parkway to Woodview Drive and on Woodview Drive from Raider Way to Toll 183A access road. Overall, completion of this project should improve traffic safety and vehicle flow during school-related activities at Wiley Middle School and Rouse High School. Completion is estimated by July 2025.

    Effective Aug. 7, Raider Way and Woodview traffic pattern to continue as one-way traffic in the reverse direction, entering off of the 183A frontage road and exiting off of Crystal Falls Parkway.

The City of Leander hosted a workshop on the project on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Town Hall meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Rouse HS and for Wednesday, Aug. 7, virtually. More info.

    Raider Way reduced to one-way traffic going northbound. Vehicles enter at Crystal Falls Parkway and exit from Woodview Drive onto Toll 183A frontage road.

    Mayor and city staff provide update at WMS PTA meeting. City and district closely monitoring daily traffic patterns and implementing changes as needed.

    Woodview Drive reduced to one-way traffic going westbound.
  • August 2023
    Construction begins on Raider Way and Woodview Drive
  • October 2022
    LISD Board approves resolution authorizing the conveyance of Right of Way for the Raider Way improvement project.
