  • Leander ISD believes that ownership of and agency in learning is important for all LISD “learners” – including students and staff. The goal of the Empowerment Fund is to provide funding essential for educators to be able to implement deeper learning and improve ownership of learning for students and staff throughout LISD and accelerate movement to becoming a place where we help all learners prepare themselves for anything These funds are designed to provide resources for programs, initiatives, and/ or projects that make a district or campus-wide impact.

    Empowerment Fund grants are designed for one-time projects that act as catalysts for transformation. Funded projects will be aligned with the district’s Strategic Plan and its five goal areas. The grants will focus on empowering our LISD students and staff to own their learning and try out innovative solutions to challenges within public education today.

    Grant application will close on March 24, 2025 and all applicants will be notified on status of their application by May 9, 2025.
