Fine Arts Programs

Leander ISD’s Fine Arts Program is among the most distinguished in the nation. LISD is the first school district to earn the coveted “Arts Basic” Award from the Texas Commission on the Arts. In Leander ISD, student success in fine arts goes hand in hand with high academic achievement and supports LISD’s Ten Ethical Principles and Graduate Profile. The pursuit of excellence by the art, band, choir, dance and theatre organizations is reflected in the many fine arts students who are National Merit Finalists, participate in the AP or International Baccalaureate programs, or receive significant scholarship offers at leading universities nationwide.

LISD Fine Arts students are renowned for giving performances that are significant both for their technical proficiency and artistic excellence. These highly rated programs annually place high numbers of talented students in regional, area, state, and national competitions. Whether your children are interested in art, band, choir, dance and theatre, Leander ISD has outstanding programs at all grade levels including elementary that will educate their minds, stimulate their creativity, and provide them with excitement and self-discipline that will last a lifetime.
